Issued, October 3, 1863


The year that is drawing towards its close has been filled with the blessings of fruitful fields and healthful skies. To these bounties, which are so constantly enjoyed that we are prone to forget the source from which they come, others have been added, which are of so extraordinary a nature, that they cannot fail to penetrate and soften even the heart which is habitually insensible to the ever watchful providence of Almighty God.

In the midst of a civil war of unequaled magnitude and severity, which has sometimes seemed to invite and provoke the aggressions of foreign States, peace has been preserved with all nations, order has been maintained, the laws have been respected and obeyed, and harmony has prevailed everywhere, except in the theater of military conflict; while that theater has been greatly contracted by the advancing armies and navies of the Union.

The needful diversions of wealth and strength from the fields of peaceful industry to the national defense have not arrested the plough, the shuttle or the ship. The axe has enlarged the borders of our settlements, and the mines, as well of iron and coal as of the precious metals, have yielded even more abundantly than heretofore. Population has steadily increased, notwithstanding the waste that has been made in the camp, the siege and the battlefield; and the country, rejoicing in the consciousness of augmented strength and vigor, is permitted to expect continuance of years with large increase of freedom.

No human counsel hath devised, nor hath any mortal hand worked out these great things. They are the gracious gifts of the Most High God, who, while dealing with us in anger for our sins, hath nevertheless remembered mercy.

It has seemed to me fit and proper that they should be solemnly, reverently and gratefully acknowledged as with one heart and voice by the whole American people; I do, therefore, invite my fellow citizens in every part of the United States, and also those who are at sea and those who are sojourning in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next as a Day of Thanksgiving and Prayer to our beneficent Father, who dwelleth in the heavens. And I recommend to them that, while offering up the ascriptions justly due to him that, for such singular deliverances and blessings; they do also, with humble penitence for our national perverseness and disobedience, commend to His tender care all those who have become widows, orphans, mourners or sufferers in the lamentable civil strife in which we are unavoidably engaged, and fervently implore the interposition of the Almighty hand to heal the wounds of the nation and to restore it, as soon as may be consistent with the Divine purposes, to the full enjoyment of peace, harmony, tranquility, and union.

In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the United States to be affixed.

Done at the city of Washington this third day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three, and of the independence of the United States the eighty-eighth.

Is Good Health Expensive

IF YOU THINK IT IS EXPENSIVE TO KEEP GOOD HEALTH . . . WAIT 'TIL YOU LOSE IT!

People take better care of their cars than they do of their bodies. Funny, their cars last anywhere from 5 to 10 years on average and can be replaced at anytime with another. We keep the oil changed with only the best oil money can buy, regularly. Put in the best gasoline, keep the oil and air filters changed, tires rotated and balanced so that it will continue to operate at peak performance. Why? Because we have to pay big money for an automobile and because it cost a lot we are going to take care of our investment.

But our bodies are given to us free at birth, free of charge from almighty God. The most "miraculous" living, breathing creation this world has ever known. Such a "great" creation that man and all the money in the world cannot duplicate it. In other words, our health is "Priceless". Yet, because it's free we tend to take it for granted. Our bodies are intended to last us from 70 up to 120 years if taken care of properly and is the only one we can ever have, it can never be replaced! Yet we feed it junk, abuse it, treat it as if it had no value at all . . . If we start feeling bad we just dismiss it and think we'll get better.

We just go on abusing it, feeding it all kinds of unhealthy food, drinking unhealthy water. Then when all else fails, and when we can't get out of bed, then we go to the doctor expecting the doctor to put "Humpty Dumpty" back together again. Then we start poisoning our bodies with man made chemicals & drugs (which our bodies were never designed to operate with), spending all of our money and we wonder why we never get better and continue to get more and more diseases.

KNOWLEDGE IS ALSO PRICELESS!!!
Our bodies were designed to operate from food that is full of vitamins, minerals and all kinds of nutritious elements. That is the only way our bodies can operate and repair itself.

How Safe Are Your Drugs?

The drug company GlaxoSmithKline has recently agreed to pay $750 Million to settle a U.S lawsuit over the sale of defective drugs as they plead guilty of manufacturing & distributing the tainted drugs made at their plant. Glaxo said back in July that it agreed in Principle with the U.S. to pay the fees.

Drugs included in the lawsuit:
Antidepressant: Paxil CR
Diabetes: Avandamet

Other Drugs made at the plant include:
Nausea: Kytril
Ointment for skin infections: Bactroban

This lawsuit was 1st filed in 2004 and just Now are we, The People finding out. The fact that for six years Our Government has known of the dangers of this One drug manufacturing plant alone and has kept quiet makes me wonder just how bad this drug problem America has really is.



We as a Nation have become 'brainwashed' (to a certain extent) through the Government, Media & Drug Companies to become a Nation addicted to drugs. Pills are popped everyday without thought or regard to their safety or effectiveness. The Gov't allows the drug companies free access to the air & radio waves so that their messages can penetrate, cause fear & anxiety into the mass subconscious of this Nation.
"It's on t.v. so it Must be ok, otherwise Our Government would never allow something so harmful to be marketed." One would reason.
How many drug commercials did You see yesturday?

Corker is working on legislation to cap spending at a sustainable level, force Congress to make tough choices and incentivize economic growth.

  "There is absolutely no construct for fiscal discipline at the federal level. If we do not change the path we are on and dramatically reduce our level of spending in relation to our country's gross domestic product, I believe we are in danger of becoming the first generation of Americans to leave our country in worse shape than we found it," Corker said.
   "We need to change the conversation, and I think that means focusing on the big picture first. Page one is agreeing on the amount of spending we can sustain as a country."


"I believe in American exceptionalism, and I believe we can solve this problem. Previous generations of Americans made sacrifices for the good of our country, so their children and grandchildren would have an even greater standard of living. It's time for us to do the same. That means living within our means. It means politicians no longer promising things to their constituents without paying for them, and it means constituents telling their elected officials they would rather sacrifice a little now than leave future generations with crippling debt."

Did You know that in 1970 this piece of Our National spending pie was at 31% or $279 Billion?
In 2010 we are spending a whopping 56% or $2.03 Trillion on this Mandatory Spending of Our taxes.

Only then will we see this piece of pie go back down to Normal, Sustainable Limits.

"I'm 63 and I'm Tired"

I'm 63. Except for one semester in college when jobs were scarce and a six-month period when I was between jobs, but job-hunting every day, I've worked, hard, since I was 18. Despite some health challenges, I still put in 50-hour weeks, and haven't called in sick in seven or eight years. I make a good salary, but I didn't inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, there's no retirement in sight, and I'm tired. Very tired.

I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it.

I'm tired of being told that I have to pay more taxes to "keep people in their homes." Sure, if they lost their jobs or got sick, I'm willing to help. But if they bought McMansions at three times the price of our paid-off, $250,000 condo, on one-third of my salary, then let the left-wing Congress-critters who passed Fannie and Freddie and the Community Reinvestment Act that created the bubble help them with their own money.

I'm tired of being told how bad America is by left-wing millionaires like Michael Moore, George Soros and Hollywood Entertainers who live in luxury because of the opportunities America offers. In thirty years, if they get their way, the United States will have the economy of Zimbabwe, the freedom of the press of China, the crime and violence of Mexico, the tolerance for Christian people of Iran, and the freedom of speech of Venezuela ...

I'm tired of being told that Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family "honor"; of Muslims rioting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren't "believers"; of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for "adultery"; of Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur'an and Shari'a law tells them to.

I'm tired of being told that "race doesn't matter" in the post-racial world of Obama, when it's all that matters in affirmative action jobs, lower college admission and graduation standards for minorities (harming them the most), government contract set-asides, tolerance for the ghetto culture of violence and fatherless children that hurts minorities more than anyone, and in the appointment of U.S. Senators from Illinois.

I think it's very cool that we have a Black President and that a black child is doing her homework at the desk where Lincoln wrote the Emancipation Proclamation. I just wish the Black President was Condi Rice, or someone who believes more in freedom and the individual and less arrogantly of an all-knowing government.

I'm tired of a news media that thinks Bush's fundraising and inaugural expenses were obscene, but that think Obama's, at triple the cost, were wonderful; that thinks Bush exercising daily was a waste of presidential time, but Obama exercising is a great example for the public to control weight and stress; that picked over every line of Bush's military records, but never demanded that Kerry release his; that slammed Palin, with two years as Governor, for being too inexperienced for VP, but touted Obama with three years as Senator as potentially the best president ever. Wonder why people are dropping their subscriptions or switching to Fox News? Get a clue. I didn't vote for Bush in 2000, but the media and Kerry drove me to his camp in 2004.

I'm tired of being told that out of "tolerance for other cultures" we must let Saudi Arabia use our oil money to fund mosques and mandrassa Islamic schools to preach hate in America , while no American group is allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia to teach love and tolerance.

I'm tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate. My wife and I live in a two-bedroom apartment and carpool together five miles to our jobs. We also own a three-bedroom condo where our daughter and granddaughter live. Our carbon footprint is about 5% of Al Gore's, and if you're greener than Gore, you're green enough.

I'm tired of being told that Drug Addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses while they tried to fight it off? I sure think druggies chose to take drugs. And I'm tired of harassment from cool people treating me like a freak when I tell them I never tried Marijuana.

I'm tired of Illegal Aliens being called "undocumented workers," especially the ones who aren't working, but are living on welfare or crime. What's next? Calling drug dealers, "Undocumented Pharmacists"? And, no, I’m not against Hispanics. Most of them are Catholic, and it's been a few hundred years since Catholics wanted to kill me for my religion. I'm willing to Fast Track for citizenship any Hispanic person, who can speak English, doesn't have a Criminal Record and who is self-supporting without family on welfare, or who serves Honorably for three years in our Military.... Those are the citizens we NEED.

I'm tired of latte Liberals and Journalists, who would never wear the uniform of the Republic themselves, or let their entitlement-handicapped kids near a Recruiting Station, trashing our Military. They and their kids can sit at home, never having to make split-second decisions under life and death circumstances, and bad mouth better people than themselves. Do bad things happen in WAR? You bet. Do our Troops sometimes misbehave? Sure. Does this compare with the atrocities that were the policy of our enemies for the last fifty years and still are? Not even close. So here's the deal. I'll let myself be subjected to all the humiliation and abuse that was heaped on terrorists at Abu Ghraib or Gitmo, and the critics can let themselves be subject to captivity by the Muslims, who tortured and beheaded Daniel Pearl in Pakistan, or the Muslims who tortured and murdered Marine Lt. Col. William Higgins in Lebanon, or the Muslims who ran the blood-spattered Al Qaeda torture rooms our troops found in Iraq, or the Muslims who cut off the heads of schoolgirls in Indonesia, because the girls were Christian. Then we'll compare notes. British and American soldiers are the only troops in history that civilians came to for help and handouts, instead of hiding from in fear.

I'm tired of people telling me that their Party has a corner on virtue and the other party has a corner on Corruption. Read the papers; bums are bipartisan. And I'm tired of people telling me we need Bipartisanship. I live in Illinois , where the "Illinois Combine" of Democrats has worked to loot the public for years. Not to mention the TAX CHEATS in Obama's cabinet.

I'm tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of both parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting CAUGHT. I'm tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.

Speaking of poor, I'm tired of hearing people with air-conditioned homes, color TVs and two cars called poor. The majority of Americans didn't have that in 1970, but we didn't know we were "poor." The Poverty Pimps have to keep changing the definition of poor to keep the dollars flowing.

I'm real tired of people who don't take Responsibility for their Lives and ACTIONS. I'm tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination or big-whatever for their problems.

Yes, I'm tired. But I'm also glad to be 63. Because, mostly, I'm not going to have to see the world these people are making. I'm just sorry for my granddaughter.

When we were children we believed anything was possible. We created
worlds where we were the main characters and everything revolved around

never die. They just sink into a deep sleep in the back of your mind.
They lie there, like Sleeping Beauty, waiting for the day when they will
be realized.

FDA Recalls Children's Drugs

Does this seem an oxymoron to anyone else - Drugs for Children?

I understand the Want and need to alleviate the Symptoms of common Childhood complaints as a mother of 2 myself. My children suffered terribly whith asthma on one & chronic ear infections leading to chronic strep on the other.

With No knowledge or understanding of How the Body works, I continued to perpetuate the same deeds as my parents did with me back in the 70's. I fed my kids Drugs re: baby aspirin, then Tylenol & Motrin (tms).

The same thing was happening to them as did me - the Drugs were robbing their bodies of Nutritients which Only Weakened their immature immune system. Sure the fever was down & pain subsided to be able to sleep, but it was the Drugs that did all that, NOT their Immune System which was Designed to take care of all this business.
In turn leaving the Body defenseless against another attack of virus or other illness.
The outcome of this perpetual treatment of every ache/pain & small fever, childhood with Drugs is chronically sick child who seems to never get over one illness before the next takes hold.

Having AN is turning out to be a Blessing after all. It has brought Me a greater understanding of how My Body works - which is just like every other Human, a machine. The Mental side is a whole 'nother issue not for this time.

White Nose Bat Syndrome

As if Tennesse weren't already in a dire Health Crisis with low birthweight babies and extreme obesity of it's residents from young to old. Now we just saw the worst flooding in decades with thousands left homeless and billions of dollars needed to repair.

What could possibly be added to this equation to turn This situation from bad to Worse?


White Nose Bat Syndrome (WNS)


This is an infectious fungus which has killed over 1 million bats in the North Eastern U.S. since it was 1st observed in 2006.

There has been NO human illnesses due to this and there is NO evidence to suggest that it is harmful to any species other than bats.

6 caves in TN alone have been confirmed & documented with the syndrome, with the first case in March, 2010. Also confirmed in Missouri, Ontario, Canada, New England, West Virginia and Virginia.

Eating up to 2/3 of their body weight in insects in one night. By keeping the insects under control it ultimately reduces the quantities of insecticides used on crops as well as play a role in pollination.

In April the U.S. Forestry Service issued an emergency order to close caves and mines in 33 states for up to one year.


How does This affect Tennessee's Health?

The 2010 Farmer's Almanac predicts that June, July & August will be The Hottest and Dryest that have been recorded in decades in TN.

With only roughly 5-10% of bats surviving this WNS, and the continued abundant rains & flooding makes for a perfect storm of record high mosquito & other insect counts.

Mosquitos carry And transmit to infect: H1N1 - Bird Flu, the "new" Swine Flu, Malaria & Cholera just to name a few.

The other insects will attack the food crops & the (animal) meat supply which will cause Farmers & Ranchers to depend on enormous amounts of pesticides & insectesides - Poisons to do what the bats Would have done Naturally.
All of those toxins come down the food chain to Your dinner table.


Now, add to the equation:

Hundreds of Thousands of people left homeless through NO fault of their own.
(People who were already in an unhealthy state - Both personally and geographically.)

In about a month we will see the temperature rise as always - only This time (predicted) to have little relief in the form of cooling rain and certainly NO air conditioning.

Where will all these people go to get out of the heat? I spent a summer in N. Autism Frustration

I was watching Frontline last night on PBS about Autism and the theory of vaccinations being the cause of it.

We all know by now that yes due to toxins in the bloodstream our children are experiencing a higher rate of this disease. However, I am in agreement with the scientific studies concluding that the vaccines were NOT the cause or effect. Both of my children got all their shots on schedule, and yes there were as many as 6 different at 1 visit. One was 1993, the other '96 and they both are perfectly fine and even exceptional in their mentality & maturity.

It is Very unfortunate that Autism has struck so many families around the world. I can understand the anguish that Parents would feel over this devastating illness that takes their child away and replaces him/her with someone totally different. I can even agree, to Some extent, that for some genetically pre-disposed children the amount of these shots in one day day would overload their already weakened system to the point of toxification.

What I cannot understand is how a Parent would just sit back and allow their child to remain a victim to an illness as they file for class action lawsuits to gain a profit from the HealthCare System that has Proven itself in this arena as actually doing More Good than harm.

As long as the children suffer with the illness, then the Parents stand to gain money from the "apparent" 'harm & neglect' from the medical proffession, drug makers, even Our Gov't who is in charge of the research & manufacture of these shots.

These Parents are spending their time, energy & dollars on smear campaigns that are Unfounded in truth - scientific facts and asking for more of the same to fund further research about how to stop this from happening in the future. The future starts Today!

In my mid 20's I started taking antidepressant drugs as it was becoming apparent that Our Family history of mental illness was coming out in Me. Of course, no one ever thought I had an Eating Disorder, including Me.

No wonder this 'disease' was allowed to flourish throughout my entire system - Body & Mind! I had been poisoned by my well intentioned & Loving parents since infancy with pain/fever reducers, then brought to Dr's for Drugs to make me better but they actually were robbing Nutrients which helped further facilitate my Anorexic Mind to believe that it could actually Live without Food or Nutrients; and why Not, it had survived that way for at least 25 yrs before I caught on to ANs trickery.

Take into account Just the oral contraceptives, they deplete the Body of: Vitamins B-1, B-2,
B-3, B-6, B-12, C, Folic Acid, Magnesium, Selenium and Zinc.

Without the proper building blocks of Nutrition the Body & Mind are both on a very shaky foundation. Which in my case only helped to exasperate my already anorexic tendencies.

Race to the Top

Victory celebrations are ringing out across Tennessee now as they are the Big Winners of The Race to the top for Education. Over the next 4 years Tennessee will receive $500 million to impliment their school reform plans.

While I am happy that TN is finally getting the financial help so desperately needed, I still cannot call this a Victory. For to Win this contest, we Tennesseans had to prove that we really DO have The Worst Education system in the Whole Country. This is NOT something to be celebrated. This is also NOT something that just happened over night.

This state has continued to value everything as More Important than education. For generations this state has continued to employ teachers who Refuse to Teach the students, teachers that belittle these young minds, stunting their education now and for their future as they cannot possibly compete in the College entrance exams and have little to no means of getting scholarships due to the fact these school systems have neither the interest, manpower or money to impliment programs such as track & field or debate club which would give these poverty level students the chance to go on to college and prevent Their future generations from being stuck in the same boat.

I am happy to see the leaders of this state Finally take notice of how they are bringing up the Future leaders of this state and Country. The fact that they are willing to get rid of the dead weight teachers is the 1st Positive step.

Just to let You get an idea of how Tennessee treats their students compared to the other states I've lived in, here's a true story from my Daughter's 1st day of 6th grade & Middle school. She walks into class & finds a seat. The bell ring & NO teacher. When he finally does show up for class, he looks around at all the students, then announces: "I hate all 6th graders. You guys are nothing but a bunch of snot nosed kids." For the rest of the year, he refused to Teach the kids, instead choosing to sit at his desk with his feet up and reading the newspaper or doing the Rubik's cube; telling the students that their assignment is on the board & that was the extent of his teaching.
Now my daughter is in 7th and has him again. This time he is not beligerant about Hating them, but he still does NOT Teach the class he is getting paid to teach.

I hope with this new Reform and the Gov't bail out Tennessee will actually get their act together and Realize that the future of Our Country lies in the hands of Our Children. Tennessee's children are the most undereducated and unhealthy in this Nation, which stems from the fact that Their Parents were educated here and unfortunately don't know that there IS a better way.

Maybe now Tennesseans can start to open their minds to the possibility that they do Not have the answers that they have held on so dear for generations. That their way doing business as usual just won't cut it for Our Children.

Without Health & Education these children are doomed to live off the system because they canNot afford to go on to College, to get the degree, to go to work and put money back into the system And make a Future Life for themselves and Their Families.

Thank You Tennessee for having the guts to admit their system is terribly flawed and the vision to rise above this adversity, make a game plan to Help it's children instead of just Allowing this travesty of the education system to keep festering.

Only time will tell if the powers that be will actually use the money to Support the fundamentals to higher education. We all hope so.

Generation 2K Life Expectancy

The state of Our Children's Health

I was watching PBS last night on the special report of Children's Health in the United States and Tennessee in particular. It was very informative and quite scary to be honest. The numbers are in for our Future Generations and they are Not good.

The generation born beginning in 2000 is the First Generation ever to NOT outlive their parents!

Not just in TN where 1/2 of all children born in This state will Not make it to their 1st birthday and those that do are so riddled with physical & mental illnesses that their life expectancy is not near what their parents are.
They said that TN was The Worst place to be born. If You are born in Any other state Your chances of surviving birth & the 1st year are exponentially increased. However, even with those odds the childhood obesity, early onset of Adult Diabetes & mental illnesses are still a factor in this new millenium.

What is going on? How can we live in the most prosperous country on the planet and yet be shooting ourselves in the foot because we Won't Invest in Our Children's Health? Our children's health begins with Us - Their parent even before they are born.

Just like the lady said on PBS, "If You spend the 1st 25 years of YOUR life doing things to tear down Your body, Nothing You do in those 9 months will reverse the damage to Your system which is Then passed on to Your Child."

Have You noticed the increase in Autism, ADD/ADHD, obesity, chronic illnesses (and the list goes on) that Today's Children face where we did not hear much about just 20 years ago? Where do think these problems stem from? Just unlucky? Unlikely!

American's Reform Health Care

Good Day Friends and Neighbors!!

American's Need to Reform the Care of Personal Health

So i was thinking about all this talk on Capitol Hill about the HealthCare Reform. As i'm sure it is on a lot of minds. I have taken a deep look into the responsibility of Us citizens where Our Health is concerned, so i thought i would at this from a different perspective: What exactly IS HealthCare defined as and how is the current system in the U.S.A. standing up to the measure?

Using the Random House College Dictionary and the Webster's Pocket Dictionary, the meaning of the words:

Health:
n. soundness of body or mind; freedom from disease or ailment

Care:
v. protection, charge or temporary keeping
n. guardianship or custody

Reform:
v. to reconstruct, makeover, or change something for the better; improve;
to abandon or give up evil ways

So, from this i gather that a Health Care System is Supposed to ensure the soundness of body and mind, to keep these free from disease and sickness while under the Care of a Dr. who is supposed to Protect the body from toxins and have only Temporary Custody of us for Only as long as we are sick.

Healthcare today does not seem to resemble that model. Once upon a time not too distant in the past, our Dr. were adamant about eating an apple a day to keep Them away. They were the ones to inform us of how the body works and the need for proper Nutrients in the daily diet. They did Not want us in their Constant care as that means their job of providing Health to us was inadequate. They wanted us Healthy because there was already enough sickness and disease in the world.
Fast forward to "modern medicine" era. At first was a Blessing as they found Natural cures for ailments like penicilln and aspirin. Which turned out to save millions of lives. Then the experimentation with synthetic drugs which did seem to solve a specific problem. Only after years of "human experimentation" after the FDA hurridly put these drugs on the market did they find them to cause birth defects, toxic poisoning, organ failure all as side effects of these so called miracle Drugs.

Here we are today. Being held hostage by the very Dr.'s sworn to Protect our health and the "system" which has taken it's whole focus off of US getting Healthy and instead put it's energy into making More toxic drugs, so the people on Their payroll - Yes, The Dr.s - will find new ways to use them and the Big Cash Cow just keeps mowing down our Finances and Health.

How can this country ever expect get out of the Health Crisis we are in when the very people (who are "educated" and Sworn to uphold our Health) we trust are poisoning our system with countless pills and the only answer in our future is to take more DRUGS?

The problem with the HealthCare issue is Not the insurance and the skyrocketing cost of medical treatment. This is Only the Reaction of our action to buy into Everything the Government and the Medical Community are feeding us over the last 50 or so years.
Because we have decided of our own free will to just pop handfulls of pills -Drugs- into our system daily instead of Eat properly, we have caused this financial and health crisis on ourselves and our Grandchildren.

So, with the new "idea" being: turn Everything that concerns the Health of America's Citizens over to the Gov't do we really think That is the answer to all our problems?

Our Own Government refuses to even see a connection between the food we eat and our health. They are Not interested in healthy bodies, because if You and I are healthy, we won't need them or the Drugs they push wich means they don't get the money that we would have spent on legal Rx Drugs and degenerative diseases cause by nothing more than a lack of nutrition which is malnutrition when You don't get real nutrients in the food available to purchase.

I was raised "if ain't broke, don't fix it." Sure the "HealthCare System" has some problems, everything does, but it ain't broke. It really does work.

What IS Broke is the American Way of Thinking: Drugs will solve all our problems.
Isn't that what Elvis, Joplin, Hendrix, Belushi and now Jackson all believed? Weren't Elvis and Michael both under the Care of their Dr.? Wasn't That Dr. providing HealthCare to them?
What makes Our bodies any different? Now, look in Your Drug- oh! i mean "medicine" cabinet. How many pills are there? Now how many would be taken away if Your Body were Healthy?

A healthy body needs no drugs.
A health body needs no government, stipulating treatment.
A healthy body is the beginning of a healthy nation.
A healthy nation starts with YOU.

Swine Flu: Personal or Gov't Responsibility

Swine Flu is all over the news.
We are under a National Health Emergency.

This is what is on my mind, so these are my thoughts & opinions alone.
The following information and views i will lay out are not intended as suggestions for self-diagnosis or self-treatment of mental, emotional or physical symptoms or complaints.
No guarentee or assurance is given for obtaining specific results from the use of any of the suggestions i give.
The information that i share deals primarily with the Prevention of disease(s) rather than with the Treatment of disease.

Ok with that out of the way...

I have been studying pubmed.gov more frequently lately. Funny thing is, i had just read about Fucoidan having anti-HIV properties as well as induce healing in lymphatic cancer, that is when the news broke about this new strain of flu that started out in Mexico.

I know i should be more 'paranoid' of this whole issue as some undoubetedly are; however, i have a peace and calm about this whole situation as we have bottles of Original Limu in the pantry with more on the way soon. That with the knowlege i have obtained through studying Fucoidan for the past 2 years gives me Health Assurance because i know that if Fucoidan has clinically Proven to induce apoptosis (normal cell death function) in cancer and actually protect against the HIV/AIDS virus, as well as bring a completely malnourished & dysfunctioning body (mine) back from the brink of death, a little Flu is not going to bother my Family.

What gets to me is this:

The W.H.O., the C.D.C. and the Govt are all scrambling now to see which manufacturer can make a Drug fast enough to prevent a pandemic. With all the trillions of dollars just spent in the last 100 or so days, where is the money going to come from that the Drug Companies (yes, You read right and Yes that is a Real Govt sponsored JOB - making Drugs for the general population to Aleviate (cover-up, mask) Symptoms of disease, not to prevent disease in the first place which only whole food nutrients can provide)
The Drug companies will demand payment for their drugs and that is where You and I come in.
When the drug (oops! Vaccine) comes out to market - (probably) available only by Rx or by a Dr. appointment and shot - the 'consumer' (You and me) will be billed for it. In that bill for that 1 dose will be charges for: all the man hours that went into creating another 'miracle' Drug, the manufacture, the sale, the distribution and even the advertising that the Drug Company with the winning Drug comes up with.
This will rollover to the insurance claims dept. where Private premiums will raise due to increased Dr. visit. If on Public Health Insurance, well...taxpayer, now You are footing the bill for Your private ins. as well as Your tax dollars paying for all the New Health Insure-eds filing new claims due to unemployment skyrocketing do to recession that was brought about by citizens 'consumers' cutting back on spending just on the "fear" of a recession that was not yet in place.

Now, i once heard a saying, i don't know who the author is, "A Rose by Any Other Name is Still A Rose."
Call me crazy, but... Mama always told me to eat my veggies and drink my milk, not once did she ever say "Make sure to take handfulls of Drugs everyday!"

Problem: (with Drugs & the Gov't. Role/Responsibility in this National Health Emergency)

This Swine Flu strain containes Swine (pig), Human and Avian (bird) stains all wrapped in one; an anomoly that is rarely seen; which will prove difficult for any drug company to come up with just 1 Drug to combat all.

Now the Government.

The role of Our Government is:

To keep Her citizens informed. Check.
To mandate restrictions on travel if need be to contain pandemic. Check.
To close schools & public offices when it is not safe to go. Check.
To provide and instill encouragement & hope to the people in times of crises. Check.
To have in place Govt. appointed offices to secure the Nation's Health. not yet.

The Responsibility of Our Government is:

Not to tell people everyday that they need to eat proper so their immune system has a fighting chance In Case of Emergency - which Is Now.
Set guidelines on proper Nutrition to promote a healthy body. Check
To inform it's citizens of impending attack. Check. (The Flu is on all the news.)
To inform it's citizens how to protect themselves against an attack. Check. (Admonished like children to wash hands, cover cough/sneezes, stay home if sick etc.)

To allow it's citizens to make free choices about their health. Check

As i see it, the Government has kept it's end of the bargain where Health is concerned in this country. American Citizens, far and wide YOU have Failed in YOUR Responsibility to this Nation, Government and us - YOUR Fellow Citizens & Neighbors.

You. Citizen of the United States. Yes, You! What have You done for Your Country where Your Health is concerned?

Now, during Our Nation's 1st Health Crisis in years, are You sitting in Your easy chair with nice "stuff" all around You...fat and content with a lifestyle of 1 upping the Jones'... watching your overweight or sickly children and spouse beside You while You watch in horror and dismay as the news of Swine Flu tops every headline and news story; wondering what The President is going to do about This Problem?
